The purpose of this study was to analyze the status of the New System of Agricultural Extension (NSAE) and the role of components in the challenges ahead. The research method was quantitative and Causal-comparative. The sample size based on Cochran's formula for extension's workers was 157 people with Including 60 people of managers in selected cities the total sample size was 217. Stratified random sampling method with proportional assignment was used. The main tool for data collection was a questionnaire. The value of ordinal theta for research variables was 0.88 . The SPSS22 and Lisrel8.7 software were used for data analysis. The highest and lowest success rates were related to extension activities and repair and equipping of agricultural jihad centers, respectively. By using of Factor Analysis the challenges of NSAE were divided into six categories, which include: education and research, development and support, planning and policy-making, communication, organization and management. In total, these six factors explained about 73.2% of the total variance of the challenges of NSAE. In order to test the accuracy of the factor structure of the observed variables; Confirmatory factor analysis was used and the indices of χ2/df and RMSEA were equal to 2.49 and 0.043 respectively which confirmed the good fit of the model. Path analysis method was used to test the causal model of the impact of the components in creating the challenges. As a result, about 94% of the variance of the challenges variable was explained by the variables of the component of AENA.

The goal of this study was analyzing and determining the professional competencies of the extension agents responsible for the area, by descriptive correlation method. The statistical population of the study was the extension agents who were selected based on polarization (5 poles). A questionnaire was the main tool for collecting data, which measured the opinion of extension agents (in five provinces; Tehran, Khuzestan, Kermanshah, Fars and West Azerbaijan) in the field of professional competencies knowledge and familiarity based on the new conditions of extension system and expectations of the Ministry of Jihad Agriculture. Some educational and social characteristics of the extension agents were also assessed. The results showed that in the field of familiarity with the professional competencies, they had moderate to high knowledge, but they had relatively high knowledge in the field of agronomy, conducting needs assessments, organizing farm days, prioritizing needs and problems and guiding participants' observations. Extension agents were also unfamiliar with the areas of conflict management, nominal grouping, social networking, brainstorming, and fisheries. These should be the first priority of empowerment. Factor analysis showed that the variables related to professional competencies were classified based on the specific value into 7 factors (planning, implementation, evaluation, technical specialization, general, production specialized and communication-social), which in total explained about 62.200% of the total variance. The regression results show that the variables of education level, contact with city experts, contact with researchers and interest in the profession of extension agent significantly predict the competencies.

Precision agriculture is one of the new aspects of sustainable agriculture. In this type of agriculture, the management of crop production inputs such as chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, seeds, etc. is implemented based on the spatial characteristics of the farm with the aim of reducing waste, increasing income and maintaining environmental quality. On the other hand, when pesticides are used within the framework of the pest management program and taking into account the ecological and environmental aspects, they are considered as a reliable and valuable tool. The general purpose of this study is to evaluate the factors affecting the attitude and behavioral tendencies of the experts of Bushehr Agricultural Jihad Organization towards the application of pesticide application technology (spraying variable). Cross-sectional survey research method and multi-stage random sampling method were used to collect information from 110 experts in Bushehr province. The results indicate that the behavioral tendency variable is affected by the variables of attitude about the benefits of variable spraying technologies and behavioral attitude. Also, the variables of perception of usefulness and individual modernity affect the variable of behavioral attitude. This research was completed by adding external variables to the technology acceptance model. Findings show the importance of individual modernity in shaping the attitude and behavioral tendencies of experts and this should be considered in planning for the adoption of these technologies.

One of the essential needs of human nutrition is animal protein supply. In recent years, poultry meat as a valuable source of protein in human nutrition is used in Iran and the world. Triple diseases Newcastle, Flu and Bronchitis have long been the main causes of poultry mortality in most countries. Therefore, recognizing farmers, knowledge and managerial practices about triple poultry diseases helps development actors’ effort to improve production and increase efficiency in this sector. Promoting poultry farmers, knowledge and management practices are the basic ways to achieve the goals in development of poultry industry. This study was conducted to investigate factors influencing knowledge, awareness and management practices of poultry farmers in Bushehr province about poultry diseases. The statistical population was 220 poultry farmers in Bushehr province. Based on Cochran sampling formula , 140 samples were selected. Data collection tool was a questionnaire that its validity was confirmed by experts and its reliability by Ordinal theta coefficient (theta=.078 -0.90). Results showed that knowledge of persons who are more educated and have access to more information significantly more. Knowledge of the disease, triple, social norms and access to information are variables affecting poultry farmers’ management practices.

Investigation the employment status of graduate in higher education institutes is one of the important and determine index in effectiveness of educational courses in order to promote the employment of the graduates. Therefore the purpose of this study was the effectiveness of training courses of technical and vocational centers in Imam Khomeyni center as the biggest educational centers in Jihad-e Agriculture. Target population included agricultural technician graduates in the five years period (N=355). For this purpose 170 graduates were selected by stratified random sampling method. Data was collected by a standard questionnaire from Kirk Patrick evaluation model in two sections: assessing employment status of graduate and determine the effectiveness of training courses in employment of graduates. According to the results of study 64% of graduates were employed. The results of the impact of training courses on scientific and vocational skills based on Kirk Patrick model (in four level reactions, learning level, job performance and graduates' behavior) indicated that reaction of 43 percent of technician graduates in this center about training courses have been moderate.77 percent of graduates expressed that learning level in training coerces in this center have been moderate. Also, job performance among 44 percent of graduates was moderate. Finally 59 percent of graduates expressed that have more behavioral changes than those who were not trained. Results of structural equation modeling(SEM) indicated that except the reaction level, three other levels (learning, performance and behavior) had more roles in determining the effectiveness of training courses in this center.

This research aimed to determine the improvement factors of short term in-service educational programs and motivational methods for employee’s participation development in these courses. Quantity and quality research methods applied in this study. In qualify methods was used the In-depth interview and was used the survey methods in quantity sector. A research-made questionnaire was used as research instrument which its validity confirmed by a panel of experts and Average Variance Extracted (AVE) and reliability was evaluated by Cronbach’s Alpha and Composite Reliability (CR). Statistical population in qualify sector was included personnel education experts that were selected by snowball sampling. The 10 participants were selected. Statistical population in quantity sector were experts of ministry of agriculture jihad (N=280) and staff managers (N=1075). Sample size of experts was determined by Cochran formula (n=160) and Sample size of staff managers were determined by Cochran formula (n=162). The random sampling was used for sampling. The result showed that the effectiveness of staff training courses less than average in improving the effectiveness of job (12.64 from 20). The result of confirmatory analysis showed that in variables related to design factors, “Designation teachers Authorization in changing curriculum and course content”, variable related to selection factor “using direct personals point of view”, variables related to implementation, “implement forecasts made in the action plan” and in variables related to Monitoring, evaluation and modification factor, “monitoring technical and vocational teachers qualification” had the highest share in explaining the latent factors.
