< p >The study aimed to evaluate students'' external effectiveness of agricultural education and its effect on their attitudes toward future career. The statistical population was agricultural students of Iran public universities in 2020 (N=236973). From whom 386 students were selected as a sample through stratified random sampling method. The assessment tool was a questionnaire whose face and content validity was confirmed by academic experts and discriminant validity (AVE= 0.5-0.68) was used for determination of structure validity. Reliability of questionnaire was determined by ordinal theta (Ɵ= 0.75-0.91) and composite eliability (CR= 0.74-0.91). The variables were measured on a five-point Likert scale (from 1 = very low to 5 = very high). Data was analyzed by applying SPSSwin23 and AMOS22. To develop structural model, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were used in first and second stages for testing measurement models. Results of CFA showed that components of structures were able to measuring of related structures. Results of structural equation modeling (SEM) revealed that educational process had a positive and significant effect on students’ competencies, satisfaction with the field of study, and attitude towards future career. Also, students’ competencies and satisfaction with the field of study influenced their attitude towards future career positively and significantly. It can be concluded that educational process can influence students’ competencies and satisfaction with the field of study and lead positive attitude towards future career.

Academic performance of students is one of the main success indicators of academic activities in higher education systems. Much of the education systems' efforts are aimed at achieving high academic performance. In this regard, the main purpose of present study was to analyze the effects of information literacy, self-directed learning, critical thinking, and academic self-efficacy on academic performance of agricultural higher education students. This research is an applied study. The statistical population was agricultural students of Iran public universities (N=236973). From whom 386 students were selected as a sample through stratified random sampling method. Research tool was a researcher-made questionnaire which its validity confirmed by a group of Shiraz University's experts in the field of "agricultural extension and education" and "educational sciences". Ordinal theta coefficients demonstrated an acceptable reliability for the research tool (θ=0.71-0.78). The results of path analysis showed that the four variables self-directed learning, information literacy, academic self-efficacy, and critical thinking skills had significant positive effects on academic performance of agricultural students. Furthermore, the independent variables could account for 35.8 per cent of the variance of academic performance of agricultural students. Finally agricultural universities and colleges were recommended to make changes in their educational processes in order to increase academic performance of students.

Eliminating academic burnout and increasing academic performance have always been one of the most critical challenges of higher education systems. From this perspective, identification and analysis of factors affecting them are of great importance. The main aim of this research was to analyze the effects of emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence, and mental health to reduce academic burnout and to boost performance of agricultural Students. Present study is an applied research which was implemented using field survey. The statistical population was agricultural students of Iran public universities in 2018 (N=236973). 386 students were selected as a sample through stratified random sampling method. Research tool was a closed-ended questionnaire which its validity confirmed by a panel of experts. Ordinal theta coefficients demonstrated an acceptable reliability for the research tool (θ=0.74-0.89). The findings of path analysis revealed that independent variables predicted 69.3, 42.3 and 30.3 percent of variations in academic performance, academic burnout and mental health, respectively.

In order to rural development and farmers’ wellbeing, Jihad Agricultural Centers play an important role in educating and increasing farmers’ knowledge and information. This study was conducted to investigate farmers’ motivation for attending in educational programs of Jihad Agricultural Centers. Farmers of Mazandaran province included research population (N= 336532), using Kerejcie & Morgan Sampling Table 384 person were determined as sample size and to increase confidence they were raised to 414 farmers that were selected by multistage random sampling. This study is a semi-experimental research and the survey technique was used to gather data. Research instrument was a questionnaire whose validity was confirmed with experts and university professors. The Ordinal Theta coefficients (θ = 0.756 - 0.898) revealed the suitable reliability of measuring instrument. Investigation of farmers’ motivation in four components showed that idealistic and physiological motivations had a higher average than the pleasure and recognition motivations. Using cluster analysis farmers divided to 3 homogeneous groups and analysis of variance test showed these groups significantly differ in variables that used for clustering. Ordinal regression in these clusters revealed that recognizing the problems of attendance, attitude toward personnel of Jihad Agricultural Centers, , visiting the Jihad Agricultural Centers, taking responsibility in the village, and the number of household members had main role in predicting farmers’ motivation, also 15.2 to 83.5 percent of variation in dependent variable were predicted by these variables.
