One of the main challenges in the field of agricultural higher education is finding a balance between teaching and research activities. The main goal of this study was to analyze the content of this balance in the field of agriculture. To achieve this goal, a systematic review method was used in the form of qualitative interpretive content analysis. After searching and evaluating relevant studies, 125 studies were considered as the final sample. Relevant research evidence was identified and extracted from reputable databases (Science Direct, Google Scholar, Jihad University Scientific Information Center, Civilica, and Mogiran). The analysis of the results showed that the components of the balance between teaching and research in agricultural higher education include current activities in the classroom, current processes in the structure of higher education system, existing infrastructure in the higher education system, interaction of agricultural faculties with the surrounding environment, resources and time, collaboration and interaction, evaluation and accreditation, and organizational culture are the factors contributing to or lack of balance between teaching and research. In this regard, to maintain the balance between teaching and research, it is necessary for three key factors, including curriculum relevant to current agricultural issues, faculty members, and students, to pay attention to this issue; furthermore, the attention of policymakers is also essential to create a suitable balance in this area.

Although publications of water governance reports have rapidly been increasing recently, no researches utilized knowledge and word co-occurrence mapping as a novel methodology. The Knowledge map reveals major scientific nodes and trends of the study area with its strengths and weaknesses; so it was conducted through focusing on the topic of water governance as a new area of knowledge. After extracting and processing documents, retrieved by searching water AND governance, and indexed in the Scopus site- as the most comprehensive indexing site- the data were analyzed using the VOSwiever-1.6.9 software including network, overlay and density visualizations. Out of over 7000 documents and 14000 authors who published on the subject matter up to 2019, the US, the Netherlands and Australia were found to have published the highest number of the documents. Meanwhile, China and India ranked to the end of the ten-nation list. Not only Claudia Pahl-Wostl and Joyeeta Gupta received the most citations; but also their clusters showed to have the highest density scores as well. The word co-occurrence network revealed the following five research clusters: collective action, adaptation, groundwater, experience; capacity, agriculture, climate, drought, and resilience; evidence, participation, integrated management, technology, and implementation; human rights, energy, sanitation, solutions, and environment; and conflicts, collaboration, evaluation, politics, and power. Knowledge mapping is recommended for offering a holistic insight regarding the subject matter under study to future agricultural extension education researchers.

The publication of research findings is one of the major needs of the scientific community. Accordingly, the pathology of the process of publishing and preserving its quality has priority. The lack of dissemination of the research findings, especially in the agriculture, leads to the lack of knowledge of researchers. On the other hand, the quality of research findings is important. In this regard, the purpose of this study was analyzing pathology of publishing research findings in the field of agriculture. The research method is descriptive which carried out by a survey for gathering data. The statistical population consisted of all faculty members and Ph.D. students of agriculture (6773 person) in the public universities of Iran. By using Krejcie and Morgan’s Table and three stage sampling 363 person were selected as sample (106 faculty members and 257 Ph.D. students). The data collection instrument was a questionnaire, which a panel of faculty members of agricultural extension and education confirmed its validity. The reliability of the items of the questionnaire was approved with calculating ordinal theta coefficient (0.72≤θ≤0.93). The damages of the publication of research findings were classified in three areas of publishing context (including the context of knowledge, ethics and attitudes), publishing structure (including structure of policy, investigation and acceptance, review process and printing) and publishing behavior (including behaviors of planning, organizing, writing, and reviewing) using three branches theory and their items were ranked as percived by respondents. Using factor analysis, four causative factors of data making and priorities, review process, principles of writing and resources and costs were extracted in the publication of agricultural research findings. At the end, based on the findings, functional recomendations were presented.
