Identifying the details of the role of social support from agricultural academic staff on the job search behavior of agricultural students is a scientific necessity. Accordingly, the main purpose of this study was to investigate the role of social support from academic staff of agricultural higher education institutions on the job search behavior of agricultural students. Fourth-year undergraduate students of all agricultural fields in public universities constituted the statistical population of this study. 384 students from ten universities were selected as the statistical sample of the study using the inverse square root method and two-stage sampling method. After designing and confirming face validity, construct validity (AVE = 0.54-0.79), reliability (θ= 0.79-0.90), and composite reliability (CR<0.88-0.92), the research questionnaire was distributed among the respondents. The dominant statistical method was structural equation modeling. The results showed that social support from agricultural academic staff is effective in improving the job search behavior of agricultural students. The results also showed that psychological capital partially mediates the effect of social support on students' job search behavior. However, according to the results obtained, the supportive role of academic staff of higher education institutions in strengthening students' psychological capital is nonlinear. More social support from academic staff is suggested to improve job search behavior and the psychological capital of agricultural students.

Although researches show that the formation of entrepreneurial intention is based on social and psychological capital; but linear relationships, as well as ignoring gender, may not clearly explain the formation of the mechanism of entrepreneurial intention. Based on this, the main purpose of the present study was to compare the linear and non-linear effect of social capital on the entrepreneurial intention of agricultural students with the mediation of psychological capital, which was done separately by gender for a deeper understanding. The statistical population of the research consisted of final-year undergraduate agricultural students in the public universities in the academic year 2021-2022. In this regard, 384 questionnaires, designed in a five-option Likert scale and collected by multi-stage sampling method, were analyzed using the PLS-SEM algorithm in Smart Pls4 software. The reliability and face validity of the instrument were confirmed through ordinal coefficient theta and an expert panel. The results showed that in female students, the nonlinear model of the effect of social capital on the entrepreneurial intention with the mediation of psychological capital is superior to the linear model. But in male students, the model is only linear. In addition, the results of the research revealed that the mechanism of the effect of the studied structures in male and female students is different in some ways. The results of the present research can help education officials and planners to adopt policies and practices for male and female students that will promote their entrepreneurial intentions.

The main objective of this research was using of canonical correlation analysis (CCA) to find relations between psychological capital and entrepreneurial traits of agriculture students. This research carried out by survey method. The statistical population of this study consisted of all agricultural students of the Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (N=2265). The sample size (n=225) was determinate by Cochran's formula and respondents was selected by proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data was gathered by a questionnaire, consisted of Index of Psychological Capital Questionnaire (Luthans et al., 2007) and Measurement Instrument of Personality Characteristics of Iranian's Entrepreneurs (Kordnaeij et al., 2007). Formal validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by an expert panel (including faculty members of agricultural education and entrepreneurship). Reliability of main indexes of the questionnaire was determined based on Theta (θ) reliability coefficient (0.82, 0.86). Using SPSS and SAS software, the gathered data was analyzed. The results showed that the most of students (64 %) are weak and very weak in terms of entrepreneurial traits. Also, more respondents (46 %) have moderate level of psychological capital, 24% in low and very low and nearly 30 %had high or very high. Calculated correlation coefficients revealed a significance positive relationship between psychological capital dimensions and Entrepreneurial Traits. The CCA indicated that there are two important pairs of canonical variables between psychological capital and entrepreneurial traits of agriculture students with correlations of 0.51 and 0.30 respectively.
